52 The Main Street is a cosy 3 bedroom terraced cottage in the centre of  Lochwinnoch village, close to local shops, friendly pubs, cafes & restaurants. It is popular with families with children, small groups of golfers, walkers, birdwatchers, cyclists and other groups,  for up to a maximum of 6 people.

Located in the centre of a welcoming and active village community the house has easy access to the coast and nearby cities of Glasgow, Stirling, Ayr and Edinburgh by car, or by train from the local railway station. Lochwinnoch is only 15 minutes' drive from Glasgow International airport and 40 minutes from Glasgow Prestwick airport by train or car.

Castle Semple Loch, or lake, of Lochwinnoch is only 5 mins walk from the centre of the village and is Scotland's main inland watersports centre with sailing, rowing, & windsurfing clubs. Lochwinnoch has a long-established 18-hole hillside golf course with its own clubhouse facilities. The village hall (The McKillop Institute) and also our Bowling Club are within 200 metres of 52 , The Main Street.
There is great walking country nearby, with walks for all abilities. Lochwinnoch is within the Muirshiel Regional Country Park and has 2 bird sanctuaries run by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), one on the Loch and another up in the hills.
There is traffic-free cycling on the National 7 Sustrans cycle path network along the lochside and beyond, and bikes can be hired by the hour, day, etc. at the Lochside Centre.
All in all, Lochwinnoch offers a great base for touring Scotland, but with such a lot to do and see locally, you could simply relax and discover the charms of the area and minimise your driving time.

  • This is a modern property with no-step disabled access via the back doorway.

WEEKLY TARIFF:  £395 - £595 per week, depending on size of group. Weekly bookings are normally from Saturday to Saturday.
